Why You Shouldn’t Go Pinterest Crazy Before Your Boudoir Session
It’s true, people immediately think "sexy photos" when they hear the term boudoir, but it isn't about that at all. It’s about confidence, positivity and self worth! Sexy photos are just a bonus, they’re stunning images but also a reminder of how strong and beautiful you are and should feel on the daily! Here on the blog, I share special tips and tricks to assist with preparing for your session, uplifting guidance to self-love, and much much more.
For Starters, You WILL Get Lost In There!
When I open Pinterest for inspiration I always start with my goal, but find myself with endless pins and forget where I started and what I pinned first. So if you’re anything like me. you’ll start looking at boudoir shoot ideas, lingerie, poses, and end up 4 hours deep in recipes, room decor and have a list of things you want to buy and ending your day wondering what you wanted to look at on Pinterest in the first place. Don’t get lost in the beautiful chaos that is Pinterest! It is amazing for so many things, but trust your photographer. They will know what angles look good for you.
Second, You Will Feel Like You Need To Be A Professional Model To End Up Looking Like The Girls In Those Pins!
So not true! Your shoot is going to be epic! Why? Because you’re epic and it will turn out entirely YOU! I work with your body, your angles, and your favourite features. See what I’m saying?! It’s going to be an incredible experience, personal and unique, not from a list of images. Everyone is unique and that makes it really hard to recreate exactly what you find.
Pinterest Will Show You Lingerie That Looks Good On Other People.
My best advice is to know your body type and embrace it. You may need to try things on. Who knows, the outfit that you thought looked terrible on the rack might be the most flattering and amazing outfit for your body and look awesome! You pick the outfits, I’ll pick the angles and together you will look and feel amazing!
At The End Of The Day, Pinterest Is Still Epic.
Don’t confuse my post, I love Pinterest and will spend too many hours on it. But my advice is just saying, use it for motivation and inspiration, not replication. Basically, I am just advising not to get lost in the beautiful clutter. Come to your session feeling great and leave it with confidence. Because you deserve it!
