Engagement Session in High Falls

Adventure engagement sessions are pretty epic. This gorgeous session took place in High Falls, Just outside of the Petroglyphs. This location was chosen because it has significance to the couple. So worth the hour hike to the falls. Along our hike we had lots of laughs, photo breaks and a great time. The views were fantastic. On our return we even saw a deer family.

If you are planning an engagement session, always consider what is significant to you.

  • Where did you get engaged?

  • What is your favourite activity to do together?

  • What season do you want to utilize for your adventure?

All of these things can be considered when you get engagement photos done, it is next level fun together. Especially if you want to remove the focus of getting your photo taken.

Our photos were about moments. Moments to stop and take in our surroundings, moments to cherish together and making memories together.

In this moment, we stopped to take a little break, enjoy some hot chocolate in the cutest mugs we bought at a sweet little store in Peterborough Ontario called Gather Home Goods. They were the perfect subtle addition.

After this sweet break we hiked in another 20 minutes to make it to High Falls and it was worth every second!

We enjoyed some of the views, while reminiscing about the engagement and enjoyment of this spot together. The wine was an engagement gift and who doesn’t love the Nipozzano Riserva 2019. It was saved to enjoy together during this adventure before their wedding. Carried through the hike in the deep snow with some cute wine glasses and everything. So epic!

We loaded up and hiked in, only 1 wet foot was gotten during the session, but the red wine made it an easier walk back. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. This mild winter day made it an enjoyable hike, gorgeous views and plenty of memories to take home. If you are considering an engagement session, don’t hesitate to level it up and make it an adventure! You won’t regret it! It can take place during any season, but this one was so beautiful in the winter!

This sweet little deer was spotted on our home, making such a rewarding experience. Can you see the rest of it’s family near the gate on the left? They are still hiding in the trees.
